For the exterior use of this decorative coating, the preparation of the facade must be carried out in accordance with the building code. For interior use, the preparation of walls must be made in accordance with the building codes for the preparation of walls for painting. Minor defects and scratches are allowed in both cases. DECOR
After the preparatory work and the complete drying of the surface, you can begin to apply decorative plaster TRAVERTINO IMPERIUM. The material should be applied in 2 layers. Interlaminar drying time 4-8 hours. The first layer should be applied smoothly, covering the entire surface. The second layer should be applied with the same technique as the first. Immediately after applying the second layer (while it is wet), using a special tool (RIGATO Brush), punch the entire surface, leaving an obvious shagreen. Then leave the wall to dry for 20-30 minutes. Next, using the Venetian trowel, smooth the surface with directional movements (diagonally) and with light pressure. So that the surface becomes smooth with many small craters and again leave the wall to dry for 12-24 hours. To familiarize yourself with this technique, We recommend that you consult our specialists or take a master class. Tool for application is: Venetian stainless steel trowel with rounded corners. For facade work we recommend using a large or medium size trowel. To obtain squares of different levels, it is necessary to pre-mark the surface accordingly using masking tape.
The final step is the application of a finishing decorative coating with a bronze effect - METALLINE. The tool for the application is a rubber sponge-trowel. It can be applied only after the decor is completely dry.
Time of full drying of a decorative covering: 24 hours
